Columb Art Captures History of Calico Rock

A new art installation at the Tomlinson Art & Science Center in Calico Rock captures the history of the community. The installation is a series of four paintings by Adrian Columb and has become the centerpiece of the entry to the new art center.

With recreation programs for all ages, Batesville Parks & Recreation is committed to offering the best youth recreation programs and activities. Youth programs such as basketball, swim lessons, and our popular BTAC Torpedoes Swim Program. We’ve also loaded up with several adult sports by adding flag football, basketball, wallyball, racquetball, inner tube water polo, and adult swim lessons.

Calico Rock’s Mountain Man Rendezvous in Rand City Park Sept. 7-9th! And Other Events! Mountain Man Rendezvous will open to the public Friday afternoon at 2:30 and last through Saturday evening. Friday evening there will be a Dutch Oven Dessert contest starting at 5pm, dishes will be judged at 7pm. Saturday night will be a Stew Cook Off to start at 5pm and judged at 7pm. There will be knife and tomahawk throwing, period bow making, and Spinning. Mountain Man and Mountain Mama competitions will also take place along with much more. The public is encouraged to participate in all events.
