The 4A State Volleyball Tournament Is Underway in Independence County Now!
Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce Announces:
Southside High School and Lyon College have teamed up to host the 4A State Volleyball Tournament this week. First round games will be played at both Southside and Lyon College, while the remaining rounds will all be played at the Becknell Gymnasium on the Lyon College Campus.
“Community partners coming together for the betterment of our community is exactly what we have been working towards regarding the recruitment of such events” said Kyle Christopher Tourism Director at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce. “We owe a great deal to Mr. Rich and the Southside High School for bidding on this event and to Lyon College for offering their facilities and staff to ensure the event’s success.”
Lyon College also graciously provided lunch for all 16 teams, coaches and parents after opening ceremonies on Tuesday.
The tournament will last until Thursday with the championship game taking place in Hot Springs on Saturday October 28th
