Nashville recording artist Maggie Rose and another edition of White River’s Got Talent headline the 2014 White River Water Carnival this weekend in Batesville.

On Saturday, The MDA Fire Truck Pull, the White River Drag Boat Races, and the car show will kick off the fun at 10 am at Batesville’s Riverside Park. The “Rollin’ on the River” parade at Riverside Park will begin at 2 pm.  At 5:30 pm the Bone Collector Hot Wing Eating Contest begins while 6 pm brings the White River Water Carnival Dance at Josie’s Steakouse and White River’s Got Talent at Riverside Park.

 

At 7:30 pm, Maggie Rose will take the stage. Her debut album, Cut to Impress, appeared on many “Best of” album lists in 2012 and was named by Amazon.com as one of only four country albums on their 2013 year-end “Best of” list. She has toured with Sheryl Crow and Gary Allan in the Middle East for U.S. soldiers.

Fireworks beign at 9 pm, and at 9:30 pm, the Afterglow 5K race wil begin along with the After Party, featuring Mayday by Midnight.
