The Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Expo October 14, at the A.L. Hutson Center (Posted by Ginger Smith)

The Spring River Area Chamber of Commerce Annual Business Expo promises to be bigger than ever this year. The event will be from 9am to 1 pm on Saturday, October 14, at the A.L. Hutson Center in Highland.

Attendance is free to public and free for SRACC members to set up a booth. For non-chamber members, the fee for a booth is $25.

“This is a great event and benefit for our members to showcase their products and services to the community and interact with both the public and other businesses that may not even know you exist,” said event chair Marc Harring. “We encourage every vendor to be creative in enticing people to their booth by having drawings, free giveaways, or special sale prices to promote their business or thank their current customers. The Passport drawing encourages everyone to visit every booth.”

The Passport this year will include having the attendees photo taken, printed for them to keep, and uploaded to the chamber’s Facebook page. When attendees get their Passport stamped from all the vendors, their name goes into drawings for prizes and cash giveaways, and they do not have to be present to win.

As an extra bonus for area business people brief workshops will be held on tips to help increase their sales such as social media marketing, how to write a press release, benefits of being a chamber member, and more. The Future Business Leaders of America students from Highland High School will also be volunteering at the event. Businesses may approach them to offer mentoring through free internships where they work for experience.

If you are interested in setting up a booth you can download the application or fill it out online at the new website www.sracc.org, on the SRACC Facebook page, email the chamber at sracc@centurytel.net, or come to the chamber located next to the Highland Shopping Center at 2423F Highway 62/412.
