The Batesville Area Arts Council is pleased to present Seeing Clouds, an exhibition by Andy Denton at the BAAC Gallery on Main. Please join us for a reception this Friday, March 1, 5 – 7 p.m.with a brief artist talk from Denton at 6 p.m.

Andy Denton, a skilled metal fabricator, sculptor, and potter based in Little Rock, creates metal and ceramic figurative abstract sculptures. Through his work, he explores the duality of spirituality and agnosticism, and the opposing relationships between belief and skepticism in contemporary life. About this exhibition, Denton states, “Clouds symbolize both humanity’s connection to the planet and are often used in religious art to symbolize heaven or accompany deities. In the face of climate change, my work is reflective of this crisis, exploring the concept that clouds could be vessels for consciousness.”

Reception: Friday, March 1, 5 –7 p.m.
Members Only Happy Hour: 4 – 5 p.m.
