Progress Continues on the Calico Rock Museum Art and Science Center (Posted by Ginger Smith)
Thanks to the generous support of our community and a bevy of generous donors and successful grants, the Calico Rock Museum Foundation has raised the money to install an antique tin ceiling in the new art and science center.
While the Foundation has the funds to install the ceiling, it is not too late to add your name (or to add the name of someone you wish to honor) to a ceiling tile. The Foundation wants to give everyone an opportunity to be included. Ceiling tiles cost just $10 each (and are 100% tax deductible). You can buy a ceiling tile by sending a check or money order to:

The art and science center interior walls have been painted. Exterior painting should begin soon (the color that was painted is just a primer). Trim work will be completed in the coming weeks, as well as electrical and plumbing upgrades. The tin ceilings are on order and will be installed soon. It won’t be too long before we start moving in!
