Lake Charles State Park 1st Fishing Tournament April 1 Starting Vacation Time for all!!!
It’s the time of the year when everyone is so ready to get outside and take some time to enjoy the warm spring weather, of course this is Arkansas and it varies from day to day. So, just get out and enjoy whatever is going on. Yesterday we took a drive to TWO!!! 2 State Parks, including Lake Charles State Park, and had a gorgeous afternoon of sunshine and warm breezes to walk along the Lake Charles shoreline and and watch families taking tours and boat loads of fishermen! Seems there was a tournament!
Jacob and Bradley Wicker
(Per their FB web site: Pocahontas Bass Club) The first tournament was a success! Although it was a very rough day on the water we had some nice bass caught. Congratulations to Jacob Wicker and Bradley Wicker for finishing in 1st place with a total of 7.38 lbs and the big bass of the day was also caught by Jacob Wicker weighing on at 5.52 lbs. Second place went to Skylar Prater and Cooper Fish with 1 fish weighing 1.60 lbs. We would like to thank all of our sponsors and the boat captains for taking the time to help these young men become anglers in the great sport of bass fishing!**
