John 3:16 Ministries’ Annual Variety Night Fundraiser on Oct. 21 Changes location to Charlotte at their Multi-Purpose Building (Posted by Ginger Smith)

John 3:16 Ministries will hold their Annual Variety Night Fundraiser on Saturday Oct. 21 at the Ministry’s Multi-Purpose Building, 75 Holmes Road, Charlotte, AR.  There will be dinner and a show and many giveaways, auction items and much more.

Cindy Hubberd’s North Arkansas Dance Theatre’s Dancers (as well as a few John 3:16 residents) will present this year’s entertainment, and include a few takes from the infamous  “Hee Haw” theme.

A catfish dinner with all the trimmings will be served from 5 to 7 p.m. The silent auction runs from 3 to 7 and the entertainment will start at 6:30. A live auction will also be held with a number of items, including a Spartan Mower.

Master of Ceremonies this year will be Pat Cash, who is known locally as “Aunt Minnie Miles” from Cash’s White River Hoedown in Mountain View.

Tickets are $10, which includes automatic entry for the door prize drawing. Corporate tables seat eight guests and are available for $400.

The door prize this year will be a PT Cruiser; and the winner does not have to be present to win, but must be at least 21.

There will be he several children’s games and bounces set up at the park/indoor playground.

Tickets may be purchased at First Community Bank and Dairy Queen in Batesville and at the door.

The ministry relies on the generosity of others since it receives no county, state or federal funding to operate. Home to more than 160 residents (the most recent being a man from Alaska), John 3:16 also offers catering, screen printing, parking lot striping, and tree trimming services, as well as birthday parties in its indoor playground, to help offset its operation and maintenance costs.
