Horse and Buggy Rides Added to Calico Rock’s Bootlegger Daze (Posted by Ginger Smith)
The Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center is pleased to announce the addition of FREE horse and buggy rides through East Calico Historic District, Main Street Historic District and Calico Bluffs. The rides will be part of the Bootlegger Daze reunion on Saturday, March 11, 2017.Join us for the dedication of the original jail that appeared in the movie, The Bootleggers, and honor the Dwight and Verda Long family for this unique historical gift. The dedication and movie reunion will be at 11:00 a.m. beside the Calico Rock Museum on Railroad Street.Members of the Peppersauce Players will present a Bootleggers Shootout reminiscent of the movie at 11:30 a.m. on Main Street.There will be food and vendors, music, a chance to lock someone up in the jail for a $5-25 bail, good family fun for everyone!And, watch Charles B Pierce’s The Bootleggers in the museum at 1:00 p.m.For a complete schedule of events, visit:
