Danny Dozier Sponsors Maxfield Park Fund Raiser Concert Sat. Jan. 14th!

What: A guitar concert called “Finger Food”. It consists of three musicians playing acoustic guitars. They have a huge range of music and often describe both the type of guitar being played as well as the composition being played. I have heard them before and they are the best. They will perform for at least an hour and it will go by so very quickly.

When: This Saturday (14th); doors open in the Barnett building at 6 pm with the first opening performance (Daniel Haney will perform solo music on the guitar) at 6:30. He is the husband of our new Executive Director, Shannon Haney. So come out to see him and meet the new director. Daniel will perform until 7 when the “Finger Food” group will take the stage.

Cost: This is the second of Danny’s free concerts for this series of fund raisers for the Park. He will sponsor one every two months this year.

Refreshments: Sure — plenty! There is a great selection of liquid refreshments as well as “finger food” (get the pun?) prepared by Danny’s wife, sister, sister-in-law and other friends. This will be a special treat.

Dress: Hey folks; this is toe-tapping music and any dress is appropriate. It will be warm that evening so dress accordingly.

Location: As stated previously it will be in the Barnett building on the third floor Loft with its new LED lighting and floor covering. Really makes the place shine. For those unfamiliar with the Barnett, just take the elevator in the back of the building to the third floor. Both entry doors will be open. Parking is available both on Main Street and in a lot at the back of the building.

Other features: The Batesville Downtown Foundation has purchased spotlights, new sound and light boards and are anxious to show them off. This is our first performance with a lot of new and special equipment, so be ready to be pleased.

Donations: This is a free event, but its purpose is to receive donations that are all tax deductible for construction of the Park. If you have not seen the Park recently, take some time to see how it is progressing. Danny hopes to open it to the public for use late spring of this year. More construction will take place during the year but it promises to be a very special place to sit, relax and meditate.

See you all there —- (at the concert that is, not the Park)

Another super event promoted by Danny!  Brighten your day.   Bob

(PS I have heard them many times. This will be a supreme evening of music, ask Danny to play Amazing Grace that sounds like bagpipes!  He is sure to do an awesome job, as will his partners.  Don’t miss this opportunity to help your (or our) hometown and enjoy an evening full  of beautiful music.  Tell them Ginger sent you.)
