Cutthroat Trout to perform at Main Street Batesville’s Concert series August 26th!
Main Street Batesville announces Fort Smith based jazz band, Cutthroat Trout, as next performers in the “Concerts in the Loft” series to be held on August 26th in the Barnett Building Loft on Main Street in downtown Batesville. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7 p.m.
“This supremely entertaining and established band is perfect for the entire family to enjoy and for a bit of local flavor Daniel Haney and I will even be opening the show with a short set,” said event producer Danny Dozier. “Everyone is invited to come and delight in an evening of jazz and support Main Street Batesville.”
Randy and Lance have performed together for over two decades, delving into several genres of music. World class, state champion violinist Jarvis Holloway expressed his desire to perform Gypsy Jazz music in the style of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grapelli to Randy and Lance. This experimental project grew into Cutthroat Trout. Cutthroat Trout is enjoying extreme success filling every venue they play. Their reverence for classics, innovative arrangements of pop tunes and period originals keep audiences coming back for more. Their unmatched level of professionalism, musicianship and tight three part vocal harmonies are quite refreshing. Don’t miss your opportunity to take a step back in time and relive some of the best music ever recorded with Cutthroat Trout.
The event is sponsored by First Community Bank and will be free to the public. Complimentary beverages and light hor d’oeuvres will be available. The “Concerts in the Loft” performances are fundraisers to help continue with the construction of Maxfield Park in historic downtown Batesville and donations will be accepted.
