Concert to Benefit Maxfield Park

August 11, 2019, Batesville, Ark — The Batesville Downtown Foundation will be hosting a free concert on Friday, August 16 @ 7:00 p.m. at the Main Street Loft located at 267 East Main Street, 3rd Floor. A group of musicians put together a concert that will feature songs from Patsy Cline, Carole King, show tunes, a patriotic medley and some special guest artists.  The concert coordinator, Cynthia Carius formerly performed in Las Vegas for many years.

Carius put together the group to support a fund raiser for construction of a very unique park in Batesville, called Maxfield Park.  It is being built in honor of a one-time prominent Maxfield business family.  Other members of the group are Mike Foster on keyboard, Dr. E .J. Jones on upright bass and Danny Dozier on guitar.  Special guest performers are Father Stephen from the local Catholic Church on harmonica and Dr. Mark Williams singing in his deep bass voice.  The combined talent of these artists will provide wonderful listening and dancing music.

Doors open at 6:30 and the music starts at 7:00.  Admission is free. Donations will be taken to pay for the final construction phase of the Maxfield Park.   Liquid refreshments and hors d’oeuvres are complementary.
