Colton’s Steakhouse and Grill of Batesville, indeed, has something special for everyone, from burgers to seafood and steaks and birthday celebrations!

Yep, when you hear the cow bell ringing and out comes the staff to sing Happy Birthday, lots of folks feel really special.  That’s why lots of us choose Colton’s for family gatherings, BFF sessions, anniversaries, reunions, and any other type of get-together which needs to include some really good eatings to go along with the love and fellowship we all enjoy so much.

Colton’s has one of the most efficient and friendly restaurant staffs, with Manager Debbie leading the way to perfection the customer service of each and every hour she serves, catering to hungry Batesvillians and travelers alike.  I’ve never been in that I didn’t receive all of the above, plus awesome food.

IMG_4189Today my oldest friend and I met, as usual, at Colton’s for our special catch-up luncheon we enjoy so much.  She always gets the loaded chicken and steamed veggies with cheese, decaf coffee and water without ice.  I promise, I know this lady.  I always get raspberry or peach sweet tea, ice water, and sirloin tips cooked medium with steamed veggies with cheese (but I really miss my french fries!) and hot fluffy yeast rolls with butter.  Everything looks so appetizing on the menu, it’s difficult to decide, but mature ladies such as Dottie and myself, we usually get the usual!

Today we had a special treat.  With my trusty iPhone 6 ready to capture one good picture for this blog, I couldn’t overlook our neighboring table of a group of people I so admire – our local law enforcement of whom I am so proud of for their dedication and long work hours to care for us all.  Everyone, whether working hard or retired, such as myself, needs a good nutritious lunch to carry them through their day.

Then I noticed the next full table up, employees of our local Bad Boy Mowers, and there was a service dog lying by one of the individuals.  Of course I took another picture, and of course, I asked permission to use their photo on here.  The huge service dog, I learned, was named Dyson.  When I asked if he liked people, the owner said, “Lean over to him just a little bit.”  When I did, the gentleman merely said “Kiss,” and, on command, the sweet dog planted a kiss right on my cheek.  Of course, I said, do it again!  Dyson obeyed his master, again, and I was totally won over by Dyson.  Needless to say, some of our girl gab was waylaid by our neighboring tables.  I’m not sure who was  more entertained, me or them, but Dyson moved to the other side of the table.

Carianne, Colton’s employee of five years, was our very efficient and sweet waitress, and got everything perfect!  She works alongside a large staff of hard-working and eager to please peers, and so graciously waited on us, timely in all ways.

If you live here, or are traveling through this area, or close by or traveling close by, please visit Colton’s Steakhouse and Grill of Batesville and let them take care of you like long-lost kinfolks would.

See you there, Ginger!
