Calico Rock Museum’s Tom Tomlinson Art & Science Center to open October 5th! (Posted by Ginger Smith)
The Tom Tomlinson Art & Science Center will open to the public at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 5, 2017. The Center is part of the Calico Rock Museum System. The Tomlinson Center includes an art gallery, science center, meeting and learning space, and the Brushstrokes retail store.
The Tomlinson Art & Science Center will be open on Wednesdays from 12:00 noon to 4:00 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Admission is always free.
The Brushstrokes retail store includes jewelry, eclectic art, home décor, stuffed animals, science and artistic toys, and Calico Rock merchandise for tourists and guests. All proceeds from the store benefit the museum operations.
“We are really excited about opening the Tomlinson Center. We believe it is going to become a showplace for the community and an anchor for artists in Northcentral Arkansas. Students will love our science center and the hands-on exploration there. It’s going to be thrilling,” noted board member and artist Rhoda Doerr.
