Major construction wrapped up on the new heritage center exhibits.  This is a major milestone that would not have been possible without the generosity of our supporters.  The heating and air system is being installed this week, as well as finishing up the trim work on various exhibits.  With construction concluding this week, we will start painting and waxing the floors in the next few weeks.  Our goal is to install the exhibits this winter and be ready to open by April 1.

Our new book, Calico Chronicles, is on sale now at the Calico Rock Museum and The Marketplace.  The book costs $10 and all proceeds benefit the Calico Rock Museum projects.  Copies of our first book, Calico Rock: A History, are also available for $20.
This Saturday is the ANNUAL LIGHTED CHRISTMAS PARADE.  The parade kicks off at 6:45 p.m. from the White River Bridge at The Marketplace and travels down Main Street and onto Highway 56 ending at the Calico Rock Volunteer Fire Department.  If you’d like to participate in the parade, everyone is welcome.  Just line up behind upper Main Street at 6:00 p.m.  Parade participants are encouraged to turn onto Chessmond Ferry Road and then turn left on Calico Street to line up on South Street.
Parade watchers are strongly encouraged to remain in your vehicles during the parade or to remain at a distance of at least 12 feet between family groups.  Thank you for your help with stopping the spread of COVID-19.
