BCT to Join Danny Dozier and Friends at Annual Concert March 5th at UACCB –
Families will enjoy a night of laughter and fun at the eighth annual Friends in Great Places concert scheduled for Mar. 5, 2016 at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville.
The show will start at 7 p.m. in Independence Hall and promises two-plus hours of entertainment. The first half of the show will feature members of the Batesville Community Theater performing a short play based on Hee Haw. The cast will be joined by members of the group Pretty Lil’ Miss as well as other area musicians.
In addition, performers will include Pam Setser, Gary Rounds, Kenny Loggains, Irl Hess and Danny Dozier. Special guests will be Clancey Ferguson, Samuel Cobb and Adam Fudge.
Setser will perform vocals, mountain dulcimer, spoons and guitar. Rounds will be featured on vocals and guitar; Loggains, percussion; Irl Hess, vocals and acoustic bass; and Dozier, vocals and guitar. Ferguson will play the fiddle and provide vocals; Cobb will play mandolin; and Fudge will play the banjo.
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door or ahead of time at the Batesville Daily Guard, Centennial Bank, Citizens Bank, First Community Bank, UACCB and WRD Entertainment. Proceeds from the Friends in Great Places concert help provide scholarships to students in first through sixth grade that attend UACCB’s Kids’ College program each summer.
Kids’ College has proven to be a great asset to the community and has been serving the youth in Independence and surrounding counties for more than 20 years. The Friends in Great Places concert is the main fundraiser for the Kids’ College program, and partial scholarships are provided to students who qualify for the free and reduced lunch program. The event is sponsored by UACCB, WRD Entertainment, Fennell Purifoy Architects and First Community Bank.
