Get Downtown this winter to support our local artists and view art in a whole new way! The Batesville Area Arts Council in collaboration with Lyon College Advanced Concepts art students will be facilitating a Main Street Art Walk on Saturday, December 6th from 5pm-7pm. The event is a self-guided viewing of artwork in Downtown Batesville, and is free and open to the public for all ages.
Five locations on Main Street will be open for viewing artwork and artists will be present for questions: The BAAC Gallery on Main (226 E. Main), Gallery 246 (246 E. Main), Landers Theater (332 E. Main), 296 E. Main (formerly Skinner’s Jewelry), and Big’s of Batesville (101 E. Main).
In addition to viewing some wonderful local work, the Batesville Area Arts Council’s Gallery on Main (226 E. Main) will have live music by Danny Dozier, a book signing with Mark Rorie, and a fun photobooth for attendees. Each location will have complimentary refreshments available.
