Ann Snyder Featured Artist May 26 at Arkansas Craft Gallery

Arkansas Craft Gallery’s Featured Artist Ann Snyder, Saturday, May 26 will be demonstrating painting with palette knives from noon to 3 pm. Painting with a knife produces quite a different result than a brush.  Knives are excellent for creating a range of effects from textured to sweeping areas of flat color. Any subject matter is possible with a palette knife. “I am excited to share my palette knife techniques with you and answer any questions you may have about using a palette knife.”

Ann began painting as a pastime using acrylic, oil and watercolor paints.  “Painting is no longer a pastime, it my passion,” says Ann. She is always looking for new and different ways to express her thoughts on canvas.

Ms. Snyder is a long time member of the the Arkansas Craft Guild, the Mountain View Art Guild, North Central Artist League of Fairfield Bay and Mid-Southern Watercolor Society. Her art can be seen at the Arkansas Craft Gallery, the Ozark Folk Center Skillet, the Gift shop, and the Art cabin in the Craft Village.

The Gallery will be open 10-5 Saturday. Come see Ann in the Demonstration room between noon and 3 pm, just off the Square at 104 E. Main, the retail outlet for Arkansas Craft Guild members since 1962.
