HARDY — Housed in the town’s old movie theater, the Ozark Classic Crafts Mall in downtown Hardy continues to bring magic to all who visit — just of a different sort, found in glass, wood and stone.
Founded in 1984, the store at 116 E. Main brings together unique crafters and artisans from the surrounding area, giving them a place to show and sell their goods.
Ask operator Marc Herring and the business is dedicated to all things handmade and artisans who love crafting their imaginative creations into being.
With four dedicated workshops and custom orders welcome, the Ozark Classic Crafts Mall is one of the Ozark Gateway region’s many places to visit this summer, or any time of the year.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Lacy, 34, spent most of her life in the hills of Lawrence County. Today, she lives in Cave City, the home of “World’s Sweetest Watermelons,” in what’s known as the Prince Matlock house. Its former owner helped create what’s known as the Cave Courts where the city’s cave lies above the Crystal River. He fashioned his home out of the same rocks and materials that are found among the cave’s property, and she feels blessed to now be its caretaker for many more years to come.
