2018 Arkansas Museums Association Annual Conference is at Calico Rock and Mountain View This Week!
The Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center is welcoming 71 professionals from museums all across Arkansas to town this week. The 2018 Arkansas Museums Association Annual Conference is being held in Calico Rock and Mountain View. All of the sessions on Tuesday and Wednesday will be held at the Printing Press Café, Heritage & Visitor Center, Easton Education Center, and the Tomlinson Art & Science Center. The sessions on Thursday will be held at the Ozark Folk Center.
These museum professionals represent museums, large and small, from around the state, including the Clinton Presidential Center, Arkansas Arts Center, McArthur Museum of Military History, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and dozens more. They represent the “best of the best” throughout the state.
Hosting the conference has been a dream for our museum staff and leadership for years. Until recently, the museum did not have the facilities to host the conference, but the addition of the Easton Education Center and the Tomlinson Art & Science Center have provided the facilities to host the conference.
