Previously known as Wood’s Pharmacy/Soda Shop, Cronies Café has open doors to feed locals and travelers alike Monday through Saturday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm. Located at 301 West Main, around the Square of Mountain View, it’s handy for everyone coming or going.
Charlyn and Brad Griffin took ownership in November 2014 and have succeeded in keeping the same high quality of service and food known to everyone who has stopped by for years past. We were there last week, on business, and Cathy and I had my personal favorite, grilled pimento cheese on sourdough, chips and dill spear! Our friend, Becky, tried their Veggie Sandwich, and well, there were no left overs, folks! We were friends meeting and eating, just what Cronies is!!!
Their breakfast serves the favorites of biscuits and gravy, eggs Benedict, waffles and pancakes with all the trimmings. Lunch menu consists of hot and cold sandwiches on wheat, white or sourdough, and they have salad, homemade soups like cauliflower, broccoli and cheese, and loaded baked potato soup; beef stew and chili are available most days. Now, get ready for this. Chocolate pie, strawberry pie, coconut cream pie, pecan pie! You won’t leave hungry!
When Charlyn can’t greet you personally, Chelsea, Haley, Meg and Megan!, among other special people, can’t wait to see you and serve up some scrumptious food you will keep going back for. You may call them at 870-269-5740. See you there, Ginger!!!
