Christmas Feast Tickets Still Available
Join the Ozark Folk Center Players in their dinner theater production for 2014. There are still tickets available for Friday night, December 12. Cost for the dinner is $24.95/person or $44.95/couple (includes coffee, tea or water; tax and tip).

The performance and dinner will weave music by the Glover family and spoken performances to make this evening enjoyable for everyone.

Preregistration with payment is required. If you are interested in a holiday weekend in the Ozarks, check out the Christmas in the Ozarks package, which includes Caroling in the Caverns, Christmas Dinner Theater, other meals, events and lodging.

This year’s dinner includes
  • Sliced roasted turkey breast and baked ham;
  • cornbread dressing;
  • baked yams with marshmallows;
  • corn;
  • cranberry sauce;
  • dinner roll;
  • apple pie and pumpkin pie
Start this holiday celebration with a wassail reception in Administration Building lobby at 5:30 and go across the street to the Skillet at 6:00 p.m.

Congratulations to Outstanding Folks

Each year Ozark Folk Center State Park crafters, musicians, and other folks nominate people from the park who have done an outstanding job this past year. This year 67 people were nominated for awards. From this group, the awards committee selected the following for their dedication to our visitors, service to their fellow team members and giving 110% to the park.

Jessica Sterlin, Skillet Restaurant manager, won the Bette Rae Miller Spirit Award for her enthusiastic love of visitors to the park as a whole.
Don Winters won the Hospitality Award for Don had the honor of receiving the Ozark Folk Center Hospitality Award for his caring consideration of visitors and fellow OFC folks.
Len Bassham won the Volunteer of the Year award for his tireless dedication to Craft Village, crafts people and staff members.
Terri Dewart was given an outstanding service award for 19 years of caring for the visitors and training fellow staff members at the Skillet Restaurant.
Gresham McMillon won the Outstanding Musician of the Year for his incredible bass playing with a wide variety of bands, for leading the usher crew at Celebrity Concerts and for his promotion of the park where ever he plays.
Judi Munn and John Perry won Craftspeople of the Year for their work not only as the resident potters in the Craft Village, and for innovation in their craft, but also for their work on outside projects for the crafts and music of the region and people.
The Skillet Restaurant was honored with CNN recognition as the 4th best place in the nation to eat Thanksgiving dinner this year. (Read More)
