Batesville has a really neat and tasty downtown café located at 101 E. Main Street. BIG’s of Batesville has been there about a year and I have been a customer of theirs for as long as they have been in business. I can guarantee you will be well fed and treated so downright good you will return many times to try all their tasty sandwiches, cold and hot. One of my favorites is their hot dogs! Chicago, New York, Classic or Chili style will please the hot dog lover in all of us whether young or old. They serve up all kinds of burgers and salads, and the hot sandwiches are to grab for! If you are just wanting to try something different, here’s one for you – The Gabe Sr. which is peanut butter, banana, honey, cinnamon and bacon on wheat! I love all the ingredients, kind of like a dessert sandwich! They also offer fresh-cut fries, Cajun fries, chili cheese fries, onion rings, chips, fried pickles, and bananas. Grilled chicken sandwiches and grilled pimento cheese! Too many to list here, so you all be sure and visit them soon. Their name BIG’s is an acronym for their children: Bella, Izzy and Gabe.
