Calico Rock Museum Big News!!! Loan paid off to buy the historic Floyd’s Grocery Building!
The Calico Rock Museum Foundation is pleased to announce that we have paid off the loan to buy the historic Floyd’s Grocery Building! Our board of trustees authorized the purchase of this building on October 24, 2016. We borrowed $25,000 to complete this purchase in mid-to-late November, 2016.
Thanks to a very generous community and friends of the museum, we were able to pay this debt in less than FOUR MONTHS!
The Foundation has raised over $75,000 for this project in just 4 months. The Foundation is raising the final $10,000 toward the project to improve the lighting in the galleries, paint the entire building (including exterior), and install an old fashioned tin ceiling.
