Annual Beanfest and Great Arkansas Championship Outhouse Races named by Dept. of Arkansas Heritage as Finalist in 2017 Arkansas Food Hall of Fame
The Annual Beanfest & Great Arkansas Championship Outhouse Races has been named by The Department of Arkansas Heritage as a finalist in the 2017 Arkansas Food Hall of Fame in the “Food Themed Events” category. “As you know, food has a rich tradition throughout our state, and the Department of Arkansas Heritage could not think of a better way to honor our state’s dining scene than with the creation of the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame. This Hall of Fame celebrates our unique foods, legendary restaurants, remarkable cooks, influential food entrepreneurs, and culturally significant festivals and events. The Arkansas Food Hall of Fame is our way of recognizing the “taste-setters” statewide who provide an extra helping of good ol’ Arkansas hospitality,” said Stacy Hurst, Director of the Department of Arkansas Heritage. The inaugural class of the Arkansas Food Hall of Fame will meet at the Ron Robison Theater in Little Rock’s River Market District on Tuesday, February 28 for a reception and induction ceremony. All winners from the slate of finalists will be announced at the event.
