White River Memoirs Exhibit on Display at
Jacksonport Courthouse Museum
Jacksonport State Park – On October 10th, Jacksonport State Park revealed its newest traveling exhibit, “White River Memoirs”. This “love letter to the White River” was created by artist and writer Chris Engholm. Over the course of two years he traveled the full length of the river in a canoe, collecting the stories and artwork featured in the exhibit.
The White River crosses 60 counties, flows through 234 communities, and is home to over a million people. This pristine ecological treasure fosters countless artists such as Hugo and Gayne Preller, Mike Disfarmer, and Richard DeSpain. The exhibit features the work of twenty-five of these artists, each with a unique style and story of their own.
The exhibit will remain on display until the end of November in the courtroom of the Jacksonport courthouse museum. Admission to the courthouse is free.
