73rd Annual White River Water Carnival has Kid Zone This Year
The 73rd Annual White River Water Carnival Kidzone will feature a lineup of carnival entertainment that will accommodate everyone from small kids to adults. Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce (BACC) Chief Operating Officer Jamie Rayford said of the 2016 kidzone, “Last year we worked hard to bring a completely different lineup of kidzone entertainment, and we saw great success. The community complimented our choice of family-friendly attendants and more interactive choices of attractions. This year will be no different with our kidzone featuring enjoyment for all ages.”
Kids and adults will enjoy a zipline, a climbing rock wall, cannonball blaster, laser tag, a mechanical bull,
and Ozark knockerball. Smaller children can look forward to a monkey motion seated jumper and inflatable fun from Keller’s Bouncey Houses. New and exciting kidzone attractions this year are made possible by ARCare, FNBC, McDonald’s, Pepsi, Walmart, and Westrock Orthodontics. Tokens are required for each attraction within the kidzone. Discounted tokens may be purchased at the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce Monday, August 8th until Friday, August 19th. Tokens may also be purchased at full price on the day of the carnival. The carnival is August 27th, 2016.
The White River Water Carnival is a free, family event that features entertainment, food vendors, craft
and commercial vendors, a parade, a classic car show, kids’ activities, and a fireworks display. Kids’
activities require the purchase of admission tokens and are currently sponsored in part by ARCare, FNBC, McDonald’s, Pepsi, Walmart, and Westrock Orthodontics. The parade is sponsored by FutureFuel
Chemical Company. The car show is currently hosted by the River City Cruisers and is sponsored by Scott and Stanley Wood Family Dealerships. Fireworks are currently made possible by Bad Boy Mowers,
Merchants & Planters Bank, Sherwood Urgent Care, and Sonic Drive-In. All other carnival entertainment
is currently sponsored by Bryant’s Pharmacy, Citizens Bank, Cup’d Up Outdoors, Dr. Rodney Griffin
Dental Care, First Community Bank, Flowers Baking Company, Life Plus, Ozark Mountain Poultry, Peco,
Southern Bank, Village Veterinary Care, White River Health System, and White River Petroleum.
