50th National White River Canoe Race July 27-30! Join us!

Come and join us in one of the most unique, challenging, and fun scouting events in the country. The National White River Canoe Race will take you down some of the most scenic country in America. The race is an adventure of over a hundred miles from the heart of the Ozark Mountains near Bull Shoals Lake to the foothills of Batesville, Arkansas.

The White River Canoe Race has been about the Boy Scouts from all around the country coming to Arkansas for the past 50 years  to participate in one of the most challenging canoe races of its kind for young adults in the country,  120 miles over 3-days. The USCA has set guidelines for canoeing and kayak racing for many years,  The scouts follow those same guidelines. This year the USCA will be having an aluminum nationals race for their members from around the mid-south on the same River at the same time. Both events will allow the youth and adults to paddle together. The scouts will have an opportunity to participate in part of the USCA event as well.  Some of the scout leaders are also USCA racers who may have also paddled the Boy Scout race as a youth many years ago. In the end we want to show that canoeing is fun and challenging and can be enjoyed for many years. Batesville and the White River offer a perfect location for both these events to take place at the same time.  For 50 years the Boy Scouts White River Canoe Race has proven to be one of the best canoe races in the country.

You may visit the web site White River Canoe Race and obtain all info needed to participate or be a part of this wonderful Arkansas event!  See you there, Ginger!
