15th Annual Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour September 16, 17 & 18
It is time once again for the 15th Annual Off the Beaten Path Studio Tour, a free self-guided driving tour of the private working studios of fine and functional artists located in and around Mountain View, Arkansas, a small town in the Ozarks long known for its quality crafts and old time music! This year’s tour will take place on September 16th, 17th & 18th.
For this special weekend event 32 artists in 22 studios will open their private spaces to the public for an up-close and personal look at how and where they create their distinctive pottery, jewelry, painting, photographs, weaving, wood, furniture, baskets, and much more.
Studios will be open from 9 am to 6 pm on Friday and Saturday and from 10 am to 4 pm on Sunday.
Come for a day or spend the whole weekend driving through the Ozarks to visit with the artists, see their work in progress, and purchase locally produced art and crafts directly from the creators.
The tour showcases artists located within 30 miles of the Court House Square in Mountain View, from Pineville to Fox to Guion, Arkansas.
A printed Guide to Artists’ Studios provides maps and directions to all the studios as well as photos and information about each artist on the tour. The Guide is available at the Chamber of Commerce and the Arkansas Craft Gallery in Mountain View; at the Museum and Visitors Center in Calico Rock and at the Baxter County Library in Mountain Home. Other locations will be announced on our Facebook page. The Guide may also be viewed online at www.offthebeatenpathstudiot our.com.
This is the 15th year of this very popular event which showcases the artists in and around Mountain View, Pineville, Fox, and Guion, Arkansas. Come for a day or the entire weekend, bring your friends and make a road trip that is definitely worth the trip!!
