Murder Mystery Party

April 6, 2013 – 7PM

A string of unsolved murders is plaguing the town of Davidsonville. Mrs. Hardin is hosting a party and is afraid one of her guests could be next! Help solve the mystery and catch the killer at this early 1800’s themed event! Prizes awarded and light refreshment provided.

 

$10.00 per participant. Minimum of 10 participants required. Fee covers light refreshments. Reservations are mandatory and must be made 3 days before the event.

 

Baking Bonanza

 

April 27,2013 – 1PM to 4PM

 

Come out to Davidsonville for a day of cakes and special breads made in the warmth of a Dutch oven. No experience necessary. Call park closer to time for more details.

 

Reservations are required and must be made at least 3 days in advance of the workshop.

 

Fee: $10.00 per participant.

 

Memorial Day Weekend – May 25-27, 2013

 

Various Times

 

Memorial Day weekend is a great time for cook outs and camping. It’s also a great time to enjoy various programs, like owl prowls, star gazing, black powder demonstrations and town site tours, at Davidsonville Historic State Park. Call the park or check our website for specific programs, times and prices.

Kids Fishing Derby – June 8, 2013

 

Derby from 7AM to 11AM – Prizes Awarded at noon. Entertainment starts after derby.

 

Ready to catch the big one? Or at least tell stories about the one that got away? It’s that time of year again, so break out the pole and your special bait and cast your line in Davidsonville Historic State Park’s Annual Fishing Derby co- sponsored by the Randolph County Sherriff’s Department! Prizes will be awarded for all age groups at noon. Live music, food, games, and other entertainment. Open to kids to 5-15 year olds.

 

Admission: FREE to Enter.

To get to Davidsonville Historic State Park; from Pocahontas travel 2 miles west on U.S Highway 62, then south on State Highway 166 and travel 9 miles to the park.

 

From U.S. Highway 63 at Black Rock, take state Highway 361. Travel 5 miles to the park.
