THE “STAGE” IS SET FOR DOGWOOD DAYS ENTERTAINMENT LINE-UP

The entertainment line up for Dogwood Days in Horseshoe Bend has been set and is sure to please. Entertainment on the outdoor stage (located above the Chamber office on the upper level) will begin at 12 o’clock noon.

12:00 – 1:00 P.M. Deadwood Groove. “Deadwood Groove” is a popular Melbourne area band. Their large, diverse song catalog appeals to a wide range of audiences. They perform regularly in Northern and Central Arkansas. Expect crisp harmonies and an upbeat, fun set list filled with the songs you know and love. Band members include Tracy Cone, Chaney Coleman, Eric Sitton, Noah Sitton, David Cone, and Mitch Gillihan.

1:30 – 2:00 P.M. Blue Dogwood. Blue Dogwood is a very unique talented trio. Young Wes Dorethy is a up and coming accomplished musician and will show his talents on the fiddle, mandolin, and lead guitar, and vocals. Gwenn Marie’s melodic voice will be bringing you tales of the past and present while playing the upright bass, guitar, and autoharp. Internationally known Hit Song Writer, Boots Walker (ie: Lou Zerato), will share his many talents in original songs from the past and present while playing his chromatic harmonica and rhythm guitar.

2:45 – 3:30 P.M. Robert and Joe Hutcheson This father and son duo from Evening Shade, AR are crowd-pleasers for every age. Robert enjoys traditional country and gospel. Joe began his early career at the age of 5 on the Music in the Mountains Show and has grown into a seasoned performer at the young age of 10. They have performed at many area festivals to include Cave City Watermelon Festival and Sidney St Patricks Day activities.

3:30 – 4:30 P.M. Foul Play Band This Southern Rock band had its beginning in Wynne, Arkansas. Cousins Daniel and Mark Baskins have played in the southern Arkansas region for many years with Southern Comfort Band. They have recently formed Foul Play Band and have been joined by Wesley “Junior” Wallace. Their up-tempo songs and southern rock style is energizing.

6:00 – 9:00 P.M. HWY 289 BAND (AT THE EAGLES ON CHURCH ST.)

Horseshoe Bend’s own HWY 289 Band will finish the entertainment lineup performing at the Eagles on Church Street. The HWY 289 Band is the house band for Horseshoe Bend Theatre’s “Music in the Mountains Show”. Mel, Doc, Chuck, and Bob look forward to ending the wonderful day of festivities with a wide variety of music ranging from country, rock, gospel, oldies and pop.
