Spring River Art Guild Announces Fine Arts Show
YES!! Another year has passed and The Spring River Artists Guild (SRAG) is gearing up for our annual Fine Art Show and Competition. This year the dates are September 7, 8, & 9 and September 14, 15 & 16 with a reception at 2 pm and awards and prizes at 3 pm on September 16. Location is The Spring River Art Gallery (SRAG), 300 Main Street in Hardy AR. Look for the BIG “ART” sign in the yard and the purple porch. Ribbons and prizes will be awarded by Director, Trish Corder and punch and cookies will be served at the reception by members. The Spring River Art Gallery will be full to the rafters with beautiful fine art by many artists from near and far. We definitely need your input for the “People’s Choice” ribbon and award. The Gallery is open on Friday’s, 12 noon, to 4 pm, on Saturdays, 10 am to 4 pm, and on Sundays from 1 pm to 4 pm. We look forward to visiting with you.
Those wishing to enter original art pieces into the 2018 Fine Art Show, please bring your pieces to be checked in on August 30, 31 or September 1. You can enter as many as four original pieces. Artists of the Guild will be available to help you with this procedure. Forms for registration are available to be printed at our website, http://www.springriverartistsguild.com and on Facebook.

Cathy Drew is a life long resident of the region that she loves to promote! As a matter of fact, she was born in Downtown Batesville in the late ’60s in one of the eight counties she now loves to encourage people to visit.
Drew is married to her husband of 27 years, Jeff Drew. Jeff and Cathy have a son, Jonathon (Jon) Drew and his wife Devyn Stewart and can’t leave out her grandson Jase Drew. Of course Drew can’t skip the other part of her family, the pets! Lady Bird (a stray that was welcomed into their home June 2012) and of course Howard – the puppy was compliments of Lady Bird shortly after arrival at the Drew home. They also have Kasha which Cathy inherited when your mother passed in 2016 and they adopted Bullet a stray in November of 2016 and the newest arrival Bullet a stray adopted into the family.
Drew, part of Ozark Gateway Region since 1990 while working at the ad agency (The Media Market Inc.) for the association where she helped produce their annual tabloid publication. She began work as the director of the Ozark Gateway Region June, 2000.
