Library Card Sign-up Month

September is Library Card Sign-up Month

(BATESVILLE, AR) – September is Library Card Sign-up Month, a time when the Independence County Library joins with the American Library Association and public libraries nationwide to make sure that every adult, child, and student has the most important learning tool of all – a free library card.

Independence County residents of all ages can access high-speed Internet and public computers at the library, along with educational and entertaining programs. The Library offers books, audiobooks, DVDs, and eBooks, too, to anyone with a valid library card.

Stop by and get your library card during September and register for a Kindle eReader to be given away at the end of the month. This drawing is only open to those who sign up for a new library card during the month of September.

For more information on how to sign up for a library card, visit the Independence County Library in person at 267 E. Main St., Batesville, or call (870) 793-8814.
