Powhatan Ghost Walks
October 21, 7 pm-10 pm
Fee: Ages 13+: $2, Ages 6-12: $1, Ages under 6: Free
Join us for a Ghost Walk, and get introduced to the spirits and spine-tingling tales of ghostly happenings! Powhatan Historic State Park is home to a number of ghost stories, folktales, and legends. On this night, all five of our historic buildings will be completely open, with storytellers waiting to take you on a ride. Is the courthouse really haunted? What makes the rattling in the jail? These ghostly tales may very well be hauntingly true, or more likely just flights of fancy. But we’ll let you decide…
Canning Workshop
November 4, 9 pm-1 pm
Fee: $20 per person
Did your garden produce more than you can eat? Do you enjoy going to the farmer’s market and want to have some of those fruits and vegetables year round? Join the park staff to discuss the history of canning and learn some tips for making canning easy so food stays good all year long!
