Local artists to take the stage at upcoming Main Street Batesville concert series
Main Street Batesville announces Batesville native, Penny Wolfe, with Shannon Rounds, as next performers in the “Concerts in the Loft” series to be held on September 9th in the Barnett Building Loft on Main Street in downtown Batesville. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7 p.m.
“This performance will begin acoustically with a mix of Penny and Shannon’s original material along with a few of their personal favorites,” said event producer Danny Dozier. “And to finish the evening, special guests Andy Buschmann and Kelley Williams will join the stage.”
Penny Wolfe completed her first album titled Sybil’s Daughter with her longtime friend Shannon Rounds in 2015. Since that time, they have performed regularly in the Batesville area in various arrangements. Their musical style covers a wide range of genres, including but not limited to; rock, pop, country and even the blues.
The event will be free to the public. Complimentary beverages and light hor d’oeuvres will be available. CD’s will be available for purchase. The “Concerts in the Loft” performances are fundraisers to help continue with the construction of Maxfield Park in historic downtown Batesville and donations will be accepted.
