Independence County Library’s Grand Opening at new location on Monday, July 16th!

The Independence County Library will hold a Grand Opening at their new location in the Barnett Building, 267 East Main, on Monday, July 16.  The ceremony will begin at 10:00 a.m. The keynote speaker will be Governor Asa Hutchinson. A ribbon cutting will take place at 11:00 a.m.

Tours of the new library will be offered throughout the day.  There will also be a Teen Open House at 3:00 p.m.  All area teenagers are welcome to stop by and visit the new Teen Lounge and hear about upcoming programs and events for teens at the library.  Refreshments will be provided.  There will also be several drawings throughout the day for prizes.  For more information, visit the library’s website:, or check their Facebook page.
