Pick up lunch or dinner and benefit the Library! The Independence County Library Friends Foundation is hosting a “Spuds on the Run” fundraiser. The event will be a takeout meal of baked potato topped with smoked, pulled pork and all the trimmings, plus a dessert. Tickets are $10, cash or check only, and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available at the Independence County Library, Citizens Bank Main Branch, and First Community Bank Main Branch. The event takes place on Monday, November 13, at the First United Methodist Church at 615 E. Main. Pick up your lunch from 11am to 2pm, or dinner from 4pm to 6pm.
