Thank you to everyone who participated in or attended our Bootlegger Daze at the Calico Rock Museum.
In case you missed the event, you can still see our first special exhibit The Bootleggers. The exhibit includes tidbits on the only major motion picture ever filmed in Calico Rock, stories from folks about the filming and stars, and how bootlegging influenced our culture. The exhibit is free to the public and open Tuesday-Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. To tour the exhibit, go to the Calico Rock Museum & Visitor Center on Main Street in Calico Rock. The exhibit will be open now through Rodeo Weekend on June 11.
On Friday, the Calico Rock High School Graduation Ceremony for the Class of 2022 will take place in the elementary school auditorium at 7:00 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
Rodeo Weekend will be June 10-11. The annual event is hosted by the Calico Rock Lions Club with proceeds from the rodeo benefiting the annual fireworks display, local projects, and helping provide services for the blind. The annual Rodeo Parade will be Saturday, June 11 at 4:00 p.m. Folks are encouraged to put together a float, ATV, or antique car to join this year’s parade.
