Connecting with Craft, wool felting will be demonstrated by Leigh Abernathy at the Arkansas Craft Gallery

Saturday Oct. 6 during the county-wide event,  “Connecting with Craft,” wool felting will be demonstrated by Leigh Abernathy at the Arkansas Craft Gallery, 10 to 5.. Leigh is a metal and fibersmith from Tumbling Shoals who loves to create, whether it is jewelry or fantastical felted hats. She also makes woolen puppets, mittens, fuzzy collars, pin cushions and more with her unique, joyful designs. She’s a regular volunteer at the Arkansas Craft Gallery one Saturday a month, and Vice President of the Arkansas Craft Guild which operates the Gallery.
Leigh will teach this month at Get Stitchin’ in Tulsa, and as well as in Wichita. A student recently reviewed her as “an innovative felter and a wonderful teacher.” April 4-7, 2019 she will be teaching at the Dallas Ft. Worth Fiber Fest – dfwfiberfest.org.   She has a large display of her crafts at the Arkansas Craft Gallery, so stop in and meet her and her characters. (pictured)
