Concert titled “Collage” coming to downtown Batesville
Thursday, February 27, Batesville, Ark.On Saturday, March 21, 2020, the Carius Concert Series will present “Collage”, a benefit concert for Main Street Batesville, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. “Collage” will feature the vocal talents of Cindy Carius, Penny Wolfe, and Sarah Jo Sample and instrumentalists Danny Dozier, Mike Foster, Irl Hess, and Ken Loggains. Other special guests will include Dr. Mark Williams on vocals and Father Stephen Gadberry on harmonica.  The concert will take place at the historic Melba Theater at 115 West Main Street in Batesville, AR and will begin at 7:30 P.M. Doors for seating will open at 6:30 p.m. 
Broadway, country, rock, gospel, and rhythm and blues will all be included. Featured entertainer will be Cindy Carius, who spent many years as an entertainer in Las Vegas and also recently headlined a sold out benefit concert for Batesville’s Maxfield Park. Mandi Curtwright, executive director of Main Street Batesville, stated, “When Cindy performs, she knows how to capture the attention of the guests. Batesville is very fortunate to have someone locally who has her incredible experience in a concert setting”. 
The Carius Concert series began in 2015 with an endowment from the Carius Family. The vision of the series is to host a concert downtown each year to benefit Main Street Batesville. The concerts vary in theme and performers but they have all been held within the historic district.
