Batesville’s beloved Celebrate America Fourth of July Fireworks Show is back and better than ever, with a brand-new location for 2025. Mark your calendars for Friday, July 4, when the celebration moves to the scenic Batesville Municipal Golf Course for an evening packed with patriotic fun, community spirit, and of course, a fireworks finale to remember.
Presented by Citizens Bank and Sonic, this free, family-friendly event runs from 4:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. and welcomes residents and visitors alike to join in on the festivities. Whether you’re from just down the road or out of town for the holiday, this is your invitation to spend Independence Day the Batesville way.
The schedule is full of fun for all ages. Live music and performances will set the stage, creating a festive atmosphere from the moment the event begins. Local food vendors and booths will open at 4:00 p.m., offering everything from savory snacks to sweet summer treats. A variety of family activities will keep kids and adults entertained throughout the afternoon.
As the sun sets, the highlight of the evening will arrive at 9:15 p.m. when AM Pyrotechnics lights up the sky with a dazzling fireworks display. The spacious golf course offers the perfect viewing spot, so bring along lawn chairs or a blanket and get comfortable under the stars.
This celebration is more than a fireworks show—it’s a showcase of community pride, made possible by an impressive lineup of sponsors. Karin Huffman is an Independence County native who graduated from Cushman High School in 1996. Traveling throughout the state is one of her passions, along with writing about her adventures.
Taking over as travel writer for the Ozark Gateway Region is a dream come true for Huffman who lives in the region with her two daughters, Grace and Stella.
As a family, they enjoy canoeing the Poke Bayou, Salado Creek and the many waterways along the White River in Independence County. Camping and hiking throughout the region is a must for them in the spring and fall as well.
Huffman is an avid nature photographer who will do just about anything to find the perfect waterfall shot, and has visited many in the great state. From Twin Falls and the Richland Creek area in Northwest Arkansas to little known places off the beaten path, waterfalls will be found.
Huffman has been a travel writer for the Eye on Independence Magazine as well as a staff writer for the Batesville Guard, and is looking forward to devoting her time to traveling throughout the eight county region that the Ozark Gateway offers.
