BAAC Gallery Reception Tonight at 5 – 7 p.m featuring Mary Ann Casey (Posted by Ginger Smith)

Please join us for the gallery reception featuring Mary Ann Casey on Friday, September 22, from 5 – 7 p.m. Casey will give a brief artist talk starting around 6 p.m. This event is FREE and open to the public.

Mary Ann Casey is a writer, painter, and sculptor from Auburn, AL. Born and raised in the deep South, her contemporary paintings, both figurative and abstract, connect rural cultures to people and places worldwide. Mary Ann relies on her faith and Southern roots for inspiration, and her belief in the importance of family. Her paintings and sculptures reflect collective heritage and seeks to foster understanding of humanity across cultures. Mary Ann’s work has been displayed throughout the South, including the Wiregrass Art Museum in Dothan, AL, the Johnson Center for the Arts in Troy, AL, and the African-American Museum in Dallas, TX.

The exhibition, entitled “spaces + spirit” is on display through October 7, and is sponsored by LifePlus.
