If you’re dreaming of a relaxing yet adventure-filled escape in the Ozarks, look no further than Crown Point Resort in beautiful Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas. This past weekend, we enjoyed everything this lakeside gem has to offer—and we’re already planning our return!
We kicked things off by soaking up the sun poolside, where the outdoor pool provided the perfect place to unwind and cool off. Whether you prefer lounging with a good book or taking a dip to beat the heat, the poolside experience here is serene and refreshing.
Later, we indulged in a mouthwatering meal at Papa Dick’s Pizza, the on-site restaurant, recently featured on America’s Best Restaurant’s, and far more than just a pizza joint. From fresh, hand-tossed pies to savory wings and cold drinks, the laid-back atmosphere and great service made it a standout part of our stay.
Evenings were a delight with live local music, creating the perfect soundtrack to the summer night. Whether you’re dancing under the stars or just enjoying the vibe from the patio, it’s a great way to connect with the local scene and unwind with friends or family. We loved watching locals line dance the night away and people from all over just enjoying the cool, evening air. The weather was perfect!
One of the highlights of the weekend was a scenic boat ride around Crown Lake. The peaceful waters and stunning views made it feel like time stood still—a must for anyone visiting the resort. Crown Lake not only offers boats, but once you stay you have full access to canoeing, kayaking, or just enjoying the lakeside view, the lake is a central piece of the Crown Point experience.
For those traveling with kids (or kids at heart), the Aqua Park on Crown Lake is a blast! Floating inflatable fun makes for hours of excitement, and it’s a great way to add some energy to your vacation. The course will wear you out! Crown Lake Owner, Pat Behrndt stated, “You get a full hour on the water course, and most kids are so exhausted after 30 minutes, they need a break”. Kids also cankae great sand castles with the white, sandy beach that heads directly into the lake. And if the weather doesn’t cooperate? The indoor pool at the resort ensures the fun never has to stop.
Top it all off with comfortable, cozy cabins and condos that offer both rustic charm and modern amenities, and you’ve got a perfect destination for couples, families, or anyone looking for a weekend escape surrounded by nature, comfort, and fun. If you’re looking for a pet friendly room, they can accommodate for that as well. A couple from Ohio was so happy to stay in the one-room cabins in the KOA RV area across the street. “That was a main amenity and reason we decided to visit here”, Missy from Ohio stated, “We got to bring our pup with us!”
The resort also has a KOA RV Park just across the street from the lake with full electricity hook ups and access to all the great things Crown Point has to offer.
Crown Point Resort truly has something for everyone—from peaceful mornings by the lake to lively nights full of music and laughter. Whether you’re after relaxation, recreation, or a little bit of both, it’s the perfect place to make unforgettable memories.
