Golf

Beautiful golf courses nestle among the scenic hills of the Ozark Gateway Region. A variety of locations, course difficulty, and scenery make this area a prime vacation spot for the avid golfer. Whether you just want to relax and play a few holes with a friend or compete in one of our many area golf tournaments, there is always something for the golfer to do.

The Batesville Municipal Golf Course is a don’t-miss destination for all golfers, regardless of their skill levels. Opened in 1974, this nine-hole course gives you 3,195 yards of exceptional golf with a par of 36.

The course is situated adjacent to the beautiful White River and traverses through woods and gently rolling hills.

The clubhouse offers a fully stocked Golf Shop, Bar and a spacious dining area with a big screen TV.

Batesville's new 18 hole Championship Course, The Course at Eagle Mountain, is a challenging but fair test of golf for all ability levels. The course features Empire Zoysia fairways and SR1119 Bent Grass Greens. A choice of five sets of tees gives all golfers a course suitable to their game, playing from 5008 yards to a demanding 7009 yard test of golf. A semi-private facility that offers membership, daily fee play and residential opportunities.

Cherokee Village provides two outstanding courses. The South Course is an 18-hole, bent grass course with water in play. Set in the middle of a glorious natural arena, the course was ranked in 1996-97 as the second-best golf facility in Arkansas by Golf Digest, which remarked on its great design, terrific staff and friendly atmosphere. The North Course, built in 1963 with 18 holes, is divided and bordered by the South Fork River, which adds the beauty of natural surroundings to the challenging play. This course is primarily reserved for Cherokee Village property owners and their guests.

The Course at Turkey Mountain features 18 holes and is located in beautiful Horseshoe Bend. Opened in 1973 with a par of 73, the course rating is 69.5 and has a slope rating of 116 on Bermuda grass. Enjoy a round of golf, then take a swim, get in a canoe, fish, hunt, camp – everything is close by. Visit their website at www.turkeymtngc.com.

Mountain View’s Pine Hills Golf Course facility brings you nine exciting holes covering 1,743 yards with a par of 29. Built on hilly terrain, most of the fairways are wide open with a pond coming into play on one of the holes. This executive-length course was designed by Pete Whitfield and opened in 1994.
