Golf

Some people plan their trips to the Ozark Mountains around golf. Others find the golfing opportunities here a great addition to their already busy sightseeing schedules. Either way, you’ll enjoy your golf in luxurious mountain settings while challenging yourself on courses designed for all levels of play.

The Batesville Municipal Golf Course is a don’t-miss destination for all golfers, regardless of their skill levels. Opened in 1974, this nine-hole course gives you 3,195 yards of exceptional golf with a par of 36.

The course is situated adjacent to the beautiful White River and traverses through woods and gently rolling hills.

The clubhouse offers a fully stocked Golf Shop, Bar and a spacious dining area with a big screen TV.

Batesville's new 18 hole Championship Course, The Course at Eagle Mountain, is a challenging but fair test of golf for all ability levels. The course features Empire Zoysia fairways and SR1119 Bent Grass Greens. A choice of five sets of tees gives all golfers a course suitable to their game, playing from 5008 yards to a demanding 7009 yard test of golf. A semi-private facility that offers membership, daily fee play and residential opportunities.

Cherokee Village provides two outstanding courses. The South Course is an 18-hole, bent grass course with water in play. Set in the middle of a glorious natural arena, the course was ranked in 1996-97 as the second-best golf facility in Arkansas by Golf Digest, which remarked on its great design, terrific staff and friendly atmosphere. The North Course, built in 1963 with 18 holes, is divided and bordered by the South Fork River, which adds the beauty of natural surroundings to the challenging play. This course is primarily reserved for Cherokee Village property owners and their guests.
