Cash’s White River Hoedown, the area’s oldest country music and comedy show, will premiere their 25th season on Saturday, April 4. A year-long celebration is planned with special guest stars dropping in to perform from time to time, according to a spokesman for the show.

Paul Harris, who got his start at the Hoedown and went on to win “Comedian of the Year” in Branson, will be the show’s special guest on opening night.

Pat Cash, also known as “Aunt Minnie Miles,” is preparing for her 25th year as the comical master of ceremonies for the show. Musical cast members will include Brenda Barnett, Roger Jefford, Zyndall Raney, Jordan Anderson, the Cobb Brothers Bluegrass Band; plus Sandra and Donna Rhodes, who performed in Nashville for many years. Aunt Minnie’s sister, Lotta Miles, will be on hand each show night to provide even more laughs, according to the spokesman.

The season runs from April through mid-December with shows Friday and Saturday nights. In June, July and Oct., the schedule expands to include Thursday nights. The Hoedown includes music from several decades with country, old-time rock ‘n roll and pop. Saturday nights feature a mix of all their music. The music theater is located along Hwy 5-9-14N (Sylamore Road) in Mountain View. For show information, call 1-800-759-6474.

Pat Cash was presented the Tom Biggs Award for excellence in promoting tourism recently by the Ozark Gateway Tourist Council.
