Canoeing
All year long, water enthusiasts launch their small craft in a 17-mile
stretch of the Spring River between Mammoth Springs State Park and
the town of Hardy. Nine million gallons of water flow from Mammoth
Springs every hour, making this section of the 57-mile river ideal
for canoe, kayak and raft expeditions. It’s easy to get to
with numerous access points along U.S. Hwy. 63, Arkansas 289 and
Arkansas 58.
With its clean, never-ending water supply, gently overhanging trees
and abundant wildlife watching you as you watch them, the Spring
River is the perfect place for anybody who wants to get off the land
for awhile and let the water be their guide. It’s the perfect
way to get up-close-and-personal with one of Nature’s most
beautiful waterways.
