Kids Fishing Derby and Child Safety Day.

Derby from 7AM to 11AM – Prizes Awarded at noon. Entertainment starts after derby.

Ready to catch the big one? Or at least tell stories about the one that got away? It’s that time of year again, so break out the pole and your special bait and cast your line in Davidsonville Historic State Park’s Annual Fishing Derby Prizes will be awarded for all age groups at noon. After the derby, stick around for Child Safety Day co-sponsored by the Randolph County Sheriff’s Department. Child fingerprinting, live music, food, presentations by state park staff and organizations like Raptor Rehab of Central Arkansas and ProMed of Pocahontas, and other entertainment. Derby open to kids to 5-15 year olds.

Raptor Rehab of Central Arkansas will be showing and talking about their raptors at 1:30PM at the stage at Pavilion 1.

Black Rock Fire Department is bringing their truck and handouts fun stuff for the kids.

The Dare officer will be there.

The local band Empty Pockets will be playing throughout the afternoon.

Archeology Camp

June 12-14, 2013

8AM to 3PM

Day Camp is SOON upon us!

Don’t let your young archeologist miss out!

Parents or grandparents!! Looking for something for the kids to do? Have a young one who thinks they might want to be an archeologist? Send them to archeology camp! Kids will learn about pre-historic and historic Arkansas through activities and travel. Call the park closer to date for more details. For ages 8-12. Reservations are required and space is limited to 10 participants Must register at least 3 days before camp starts.

Parents provide lunch for the kids. We provide travel, snacks, drinks and FUN!!

Admission: $ 75
