MUSIC PROGRAM TO BE HELD AT MUSEUM
Thursday, Oct. 17, at 7:00 pm “Music … as History” will be presented by storyteller and instrumentalist Charlie Mink and vocalist Ruthie Haynie at the Stone County Museum auditorium in Mountain View.
The historical significance of some of the songs that have made a contribution to the rich musical culture we enjoy will be explored. It will begin with the ancient Irish hymn, pass through the Music of the Kings, and into the realm of more modern Celtic and American folk music.
Admission is $7 for adults and $4 for students.
