Seventh Annual Ozark Foothills FilmFest Screenwriting Competition

Accepting Feature Length Screenplay Entries

Ozark Foothills FilmFest, Inc. is accepting feature length entries for its 7th Annual Screenwriting Competition. The competition, the only one of its kind in Arkansas, is limited to aspiring writers who have not yet had a work produced or optioned. Feature-length entries must be a minimum of 85 pages.

Competition guidelines and entry form are available at www.ozarkfoothillsfilmfest.org/2014_screenwriting_competition; entry fee is $20. Entries must be submitted electronically to bobpest@wildblue.net. Work should be submitted as a PDF, Microsoft Word file, or an equivalent cross-platform file; hard copy entries will not be accepted. The entry form and fee should be submitted by mail to Screenplays, 195 Peel Road, Locust Grove, AR 72550. Checks or money orders are accepted.

The Best Feature Screenplay author will receive a $1,000 cash award. The winner will be announced during the 13th annual Ozark Foothills FilmFest, April 2-6, 2014 in Batesville.

Competition judges are Pola Zen, Israeli filmmaker and professional screenplay editor, and Dawn Winkler, a screenwriter and editor who holds an MFA in screenwriting from the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television. For more information contact Bob Pest at 870-251-1189 or bobpest@wildblue.net.
